I am trying to obtain information concerning my great grandaunt and uncle, Jane Elizabeth and Edward Davies. Jane died 23 July 1928 in the Wrexham War Memorial Hospital and was interred 27 July 1928 in Coedpoeth Cemetery. I would like to know if Jane's husband, Edward, is buried with or near her grave and if any other family members are buried near them. The family resided at 9 Poplar Place, Adwy, at time of Jane's death. Edward, who served with the Royal Welch Fusiliers in WWI, supposedly died 1929-1933 but do not know where. They had four children - three of which (Edward, John & Geoffrey or Godfrey) disappeared around 1928. Would appreciate any help with this family.

Earle if its of any consolation, I have had reason to contact Mr Llloyd myself and he is a very friendly and helpful chap it could be that he is either on Holiday or maybe that phone number is only manned during the week. Im sure if you are persistent you will get a response from him unless someone in the Coedpoeth area would like to take a trip searching the cemetery for you (we do have some very strange members with strange past times........not mentioning any names......Annette ;D) fingers crossed im sure you will get some joy from Mr Lloyd once you are able to speak to him Tracey

www.coedpoethcommunity.co.uk/Welcome/welcome.htmlIf you fail to contact Allan, then try the clerk of the council Iola Jones, she is on the LH side of this page at the bottom. I know she has the cemetery book and as you have names and dates then should be able to find the grave and plot ref for you. The phone number is 01978 756890. If you find these then and post them here I`ll pop up to Coedpoeth and see what I can come up with. ( Not literally !!!!!!!!!! ) ;D As Tracey inferred that I have strange pastimes , I`m not willing to discuss them all here, but one of them is taking pics of headstones for those who live too far away to visit.

Only joking Annette you know we all appreciate you rummaging about in graveyards looking a bit shifty with that camera ;D
