I understand that the Denbighshire Records Office at Ruthin holds the AdmissionsDischarge records for the Wrexham Workhouse. Does anyone know if these are available to the general public for viewing or do you need to prove you are a relative etc. The lady I am researching, Margaret Griffiths, was an inmate there on the 1901 census. She is described as a lunatic and I would like to learn more of her circumstances.
Thanks Heather

Hi Heather, I believe sensitive records ie hospitals and the like usually carry a 100yr closure, so you should be OK.
