My GGGrandmother was Elizabeth Kelly, b Minera 30/5/1841, to John Kelly and Mary nee Hughes. She married Edward Lloyd on 30/12/1861 in Minera. Both gave their address as Plasgwyn Mountain. Edward had moved in from the Mold area in Flintshire. Witnesses at the wedding were Joseph Kelly and Hannah Kelly. I could not find any census records on the Internet from the Pentre'r Bais/Gwynfryn area in 1861 - have they been lost? In the 1851 census, a family fits very well, as follows: John Kelly, Head, 33, Lead Miner, from Minera, Denbighshire. Mary do, wife, 34, from Brymbo, Denbighshire. The children follow, all born in Minera. Hannah, 12 Elizabeth, 10 Catherine, 7 John 5 Mary 2. They had a visitor, John Hughes, aged 21, from Cilcain, Flintshire. They were recorded at Pen y Bryn, Minera.
If I have the right Catherine, on 14/4/1862 she married a Thomas Hughes, Rockman, son of Shadrach Hughes, labourer of Plasgwyn Mountain. Witnesses were John Edwards and Hannah Kelly.
I should be grateful for information as to whether I have made a correct link, and any further information.
Many thanks.
