"Thomas married Eliza Jane Jones who lived at Cae Adar Farm Minera in 1909. She had a sister Louise and I think there was another sister named gladys. Eliza Jane died in 1926 aged 37 and is buried at Minera church. Any information about either families would be helpful also I would like to know if the dwellings are still there."To go to the original thread posted by grannyvon65, go to minerahistory.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=884This is the information abeer found Hi, The houses are still there in Smithy road - its a long terrace overlooking the view towards Cheshire - and Heol Hyfrydle is an adjoining small one way road with some old cottages on it. If you download Google earth and type in Coedpoeth 12 Smithy road you will get a birds eye view of it. Cae Adar farm also still exists ( I think) at least there is a Cae Adar lane just below Bwlchgwyn and above Minera. On the 1891 census I have Cae Adar farm occupied by John Jones (Head) 37 farmer born Brymbo Jane Jones (wife) 28 born Ruthin Mary Elizabeth (daughter) 3 born Minera Eliza Jane ( daughter) 2 born Minera 1901 census same family John Jones 48 now listed as a farmer and assisted overseer Jane (wife) 37 Mary E 13 Eliza J 12 Louisa 8 (daughter) b Minera I will keep looking for more info for you Regards, Alison

Hi grannyvon65, I guess you have the wedding cert for Thomas and Eliza Jane Jones to confirm her father's name and occupation. Do you have her birth cert too? www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/life_events/bereavement/register_office.htm#copiesWrexham births for Eliza Jane Jones Jun 1/4 1888 WM/076/87 Mar 1/4 1889 WM/078/38 If you are confident about her fathers details , you could add these to your application. eluned

Hi Yvonne, I can't see one that fits The only one in 1926 is in Ruabon but according to ancestry she was 55yrs Have you checked the Minera burials register or have details from a gravestone to confirm her death details? If she died after her husband, could she have remarried and therefore be registered using a different surname? You may be interested in the link below that has photos of all Minera Church gravestones www.clwyd-mi.co.uk/eluned

The ref. no. "Minera LW 7623" given by tominera on your other thread, relates to the website I have just given in the post above. 7623 is the image no.
