I am trying to find any descendants of or information about:- Edward and Mary Jones who had 9 children:- John born 1876 Edward born 1879 William Thomas born 1881 Joseph born 1883 Margaret Ann born 1884Mary E born 1887 Albert P born 1888 Philip born 1891 In 1901 they lived in Bwlchgwyn cottages (are these still there?) on Ruthin Road and Edward was a coal miner. In 1911 they were living at College Hill Brymbo (is this still there?). Edward then became a dairy farmer and only Philip was living at home and was 21, along with grandson Edward who was 6. My great grandmother was Margaret Ann and she moved to Liverpool and married James Connolly. I would really appreciate any info that anyone could give me. Thanks Ann

www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.06232&lon=-3.048213&z=15.9&r=0&src=mslCollege Hill is still there, right opposite Brymbo Steelwork Social Club. I have a book that gives a list of men in 1915 that were eligable for military service . 1/3/6/8/10/11/13/14 College Hill - No Jones . Of course they could have just not been suitable, or just moved on. Not much help - sorry.

Ann asks "Would you know where people from Bwlchgwyn would be buried? Or could you recommend any other places I could search which might give me some more information about the family."The family moved on to Brymbo so its possible they were buried in the parish church there, St. Mary's. A lot of my non conformist rellies are there. The burial registers are available to view on microfilm at the A.N Palmer centre in Wrexham. www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/heritage/archives/index.htmThe graveyard there is very large so be prepared to spend quite sometime searching. It is possible to contact the verger who will show you to an actual grave, if you have the plot number from the registers, for a donation to church funds. There aren't any MIs available at present. There are MIs available for some other local chapels and churches online at www.tom-mercer-mi-indexes.org.uk/index.htmand some grave photographs at www.clwyd-mi.co.uk/Have you seen some of the other area of the site www.the-red-zone.co.uk/for parish and chapel registers. www.bwlchgwyn.minerahistory.com/for information on Bwlchgwyn inc Bethesda Wesleyan Cemetery. eluned
