Hi, I dont think there is an Emlyn Roberts buried in Coedpoeth Cemetery according to my list-- There is a Hannah Jane Roberts buried 27 4 1944 plot 2037 (no pic) aged 65 who does not match details given. I think her husband is Thomas Roberts bur 2 2 1949 aged 76 same plot.--I will gladly look up anyones bur in Coedpoeth Cemetery and I have identified almost all of Lee,s pics which may be of help. Cheers Tom

Hi, The other two names in the burial reg. for this plot are Melville WILLIAMS aged 8 months buried 27 2 1951 Nancy WILLIAMS aged 61 years 11 6 1987 (cremated remains) --so date may refer to her death or when the ashes were int. I am sorry but I have not seen the grave and I cannot help you with that side of it but I have a pretty comprehensive database on Coedpoeth cemetery which I am always happy to add actual dates of death or burials to it if any one has their own facts. I am only too happy to share any info with anyone on this site should it help them find a relative/ancestor etc Kind Regards, Tom

Hi, This may help---John Richard Jones aged 67 yrs buried 3 6 1944 in plot no 938 in Coedpoeth Cemetery, also Sarah E Jones aged 63 yrs buried 12 2 1946 in same plot. There are two more burials in the same plot which may be connected or not. I do not think there is a headstone but I could be wrong as it may have a kerbstone. Good Luck, bye Tom

Hi Eluned, I was at the Coedpoeth History Group meeting last night and one of the pics shown was of Tyn Y Ffynnon as the speakers topic was Welsh Methodism in Coedpoeth last century. I am afraid I cannot enlarge on this but I know the name of the speaker etc if it is of any interest--He is a mine of information regarding the chapels etc and I am sure he would be able to help. Regards Tom

Hi, Maybe this may help as I think they are somewhere near to the dates quoted. Buried in Coedpoeth Cemetery Plot 128 --John Roberts age 67y bur.26 8 1896;;;Alice Roberts age 69y bur. 1 7 1905;;; John Roberts age 62y bur. 7 4 1927(probably their son);;; Ann Roberts age 81y bur. 12 7 1948 (possibly his wife) The Lee Wetton IMG is No 8194 but it is a rather weatherbeaten headstone and gives little info. Good Luck Tom

Hi Victoria, I am still learning how to use the site-- I wrote you a long personal message only to be told visitors cannot use this service when I tried to send it. I am only guessing but maybe I had not logged in for a long enough period to cover the time it took me to sort and send the message. However I have sent you an e-mail with some info but once bitten etc -I will wait for a reply to confirm I have it correct. I have a funeral sheet for Berts widow and Michaels their son. I can also give you some useful family members tel. No,s

Hi and thankyou once again. I have found out the following from my friend regarding William OSBORNE. He died in Wrexham 16 6 1833 aged 45 Years. He was a bookbinder by trade and some of his children were baptised in St Giles Wxm. They lived in Tuttle St. but his family were back in Liverpool by 1841 Census(maybe destitute?) His death was announced in 4 Newspapers at the time including Liverpool Papers and The North Wales Chronicle on the 25 6 1833. Aberyswyth have failed in quite an elaborate search for his burial so my friend does not hold much hope of finding out what happened to his body. Thanks again Tom
