Hi, Another Minera member has found some details, there are more than one graves which seem to be your family. L/W means the Lee Wetton site. I`ll try to post the images .
There are no Gidleys in the burial register, they are named on the Richards grave which is why they appear in Tom Mercers Index.

The names from Tom Mercers are all that are on the headstone, it doesn`t give the full inscription and it doesn`t mean they are buried there. For instance I have a family grave there that has a son`s name on it , but he was lost in WW1 .
It probably has "mother of Kitty " etc
The same for Angela and Michael. Someone paid and gave instructions for the headstones. Also headstones could have been put on the graves any time after the burial. Could it be Harold Gidley jnr ?
I have seen new looking ones with dates from a long time ago.
I can`t comment on the actual plots. The Cemetery would know about that.

I`ve spoken to the cemetery superintendent and he has put me in touch with a lady who has the burial records. She can help but is away from work for a week. It will be at least two weeks before she can get me the information. Also the location of the graves. I know from this site that there are headstones . www.tom-mercer-mi-indexes.org.uk/Cemetery_Coedpoeth_D.htm All these names are on one. Sarah KELLY D11 William KELLY D11 Harold D11 Alma D11 Margaret D11 Hetty D11 Kitty D11 This is another Harold GIDLEY D135 Angela D135 Michael D135 There is also this website. You may find photos on here, but they are sometimes not very good. www.clwyd-mi.co.uk/html/coedpoeth.htmlWhen you click Download Zip File , you will find a notice that you need a password. You will have to email Lee Wetton for one. Hope this helps

31 July 1915 page 7 I`ve had to reduce the image file size. If you want the originals then send me your email address in a private message. There was no photo. He went to the Salem Chapel , same as my family. There was a set of photos of soldiers that went to Salem. Somebody local to Wrexham saved it when the Chapel closed, but I have no idea where it is. It was in a frame . Attachments:

There is a PRIVATE tree on Ancestry . When you enter the marriage in 1935 of John Deadman and Freda Roberts - it is the only one that seems to have it as a match. The name shown is Kathleen Rhoda May Deadman. Birth: 1911 - Kent
Perhaps it may be worth contacting the tree owner.

I found the grave, there was a mistake. All buried together Edward , Charlotte is named as Minnie, and Sarah Ann Shelby is named as "Lallie Shelby " . The man at the cemetery went for a spade so we could uncover Lallies details, they are quite dirty but it`s the best we could do at the time.
There are other Shelby`s buried quite close, but we couldn`t find a headstone, but there were a few unmarked graves .
I`ll send the images by email.

There could be a mistake in the transcription of the Cemetery Registers . 02433 / 02435 are quite similar. When I go to the Cemetery I`ll ask to look at the original Registers, that should give more information. The staff there are very helpful. Is this man related to Sarah Ann Shelby. He was a pupil teacher at Penygelli / Bersham School. James Pritchard Shelby James was born in Ruthin in 1863, the son of John Shelby a lead miner from Ysbywty Ystwyth, Cardiganshire and Sarah who was born in Dwyran, Montgomershire. By 1871 the family had moved to Penygelli and were still there in 1881. By 1891 James had moved to Mold, and was employed as a Schoolmaster. His whereabouts in 1901 are unknown but James married in 1905 at Forden to Sarah Elizabeth Rogers. There is a lot about him here, most in book 2. www.scribd.com/doc/53967274/Bersham-and-Adwy-Boys-School-Diaries-Book-I-1868-1879www.scribd.com/doc/53967215/Bersham-and-Adwy-School-Diaries-Boys-School-Book-2-1880-1890

This is currently on Ebay for £345. Item location Leicester. A solid silver George V presentation salver with pie crust rim, standing on three ornate feet with crisp hallmarks for Chester 1935. In good condition, free from any dents, dings or repair and very substantially made weighing 563g. Measures approx 26cms in diameter. The salver bears a very interesting inscription as below: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT From The People OF THE PARISH OF BERSHAM TO MR AND MRS FRED PURSLOW OF CAIRO Who Gave So Generously OF THEIR HEARTS AND HOME to the Men and Women serving IN HM FORCES IN EGYPT 1939-1945
This is from the posting on Ebay. My research has shown that Fred Purslow, a Welshman from Coedpoeth, ran the successful Davies Bryan & Co store in Cairo, known as the pride of Sharia Emad Al Din, where the most elegant shops were situated. It is also Known that Fred Purslow was awarded the MBE on his return to the UK. At the moment, I know no more as to what specifically Fred Purslow and his wife did for the UK troops in wartime North Africa or why it would invoke such grattitude from the people of Bersham, Wales that they would reward him with this beautiful solid silver salver. I think that there is much more to learn from this story. Attachments:
